Luxury fashion brand Jil Sander has opened a flagship in Tokyo’s Ginza district – its largest store to date.

The 600sqm store has two storeys and features an exclusive capsule alongside the brand’s collection.

The capsule includes The 7 Days Shirt and The Cannolo Bag with silver accents and silver materials, a tribute given to Ginza, as ‘gin’ means silver in Japanese.

The store will also introduce Jil Sander’s new fine jewellery range made of precious metals including white gold, yellow gold and diamonds.

The furniture elements are formed of recycled plastic from compact disc cases, while its floors are carved out of stone, creating mineral, geological surfaces. The walls and staircase are made from silver-blue travertine.

The location also has a dedicated exhibition space for art installation, featuring Bergamo II by British sculptor Rachel Whiteread.
