Luxury luggage brand Rimowa has reopened its Shinsaibashi store in Osaka – its third-largest store in Japan – after its first complete renovation since its debut in April 2015.
Spanning two levels with a total area of 350sqm, the revamped store combines the brand’s signature “simple and sophisticated” aesthetic with design elements inspired by Osaka’s identity as the “Water City”.
Key interior features include walls crafted from blue onyx that blends blue and white hues to evoke imagery of Osaka’s waterways and the ‘white waves of passing ships’.
The store also incorporates handcrafted washi paper encased in glass, offering a dynamic artistic element that changes its appearance with different lighting.
Meanwhile, dynamic displays include a range wall showcasing the brand’s “Original Collection” and a colour range wall featuring the “Essential Collection”.
Finally, the second floor houses a Client Care Center finished with glass partitions, allowing customers to observe how their products are repaired.
Established in 1898, Rimowa is known for its range of premium luggage. The brand joined the LVMH Group in 2017.
