Philippine coffee chain Figaro Coffee is actively seeking new investors to raise additional capital for future store openings and business expansion.
Chairman Justin Liu said that although the company is still in the early stages of the process, it is working to secure funding to support the company’s growth.
“There are always interested parties, but nothing is certain at the moment,” he remarked.
Late last year, Monde Nissin CEO Henry Soesanto expressed his group’s intention to sell their 15 per cent stake in the Figaro Coffee Group, reports The Philippine Star.
The shares were initially purchased to help Monde Nissin expand into the food service sector.
However, Figaro clarified that it is not in a position to confirm nor clarify the plans of Monde regarding its investment. The company assured it would issue timely and transparent disclosures regarding developments.
