Philippine Seven Corp (PSC), the operator of 7-Eleven stores in the country, is eyeing an expanded network of 5000 outlets nationwide by next year.
PSC Chairman Jose Victor P Paterno said during a media briefing that the company is on track to meet the target, noting that it is “safe to say” the 5000-store milestone will be reached sometime next year.
As of the end of last year, PSC operated 4130 7-Eleven stores across the Philippines.
The company plans to open between 450 and 500 new locations this year. The rollout will be supported by a PHP5.5-billion (US$97 million) capital expenditure program, slightly trimmed from the previous PHP6-billion allocation.
The expansion is part of PSC’s broader strategy to reach underserved markets and respond to increasing demand for accessible and convenient retail options nationwide.
