Korean pizza chain GoPizza has signed a master franchise agreement with Hextar Group, marking its official entry into Malaysia.

The first outlet is expected to launch in late Q3 or early Q4 this year.

“We’re confident that Hextar Group will be a strong and trusted partner in introducing the GoPizza experience to Malaysia, and we can’t wait to see what we’ll build together,” said Jay Lim, founder and CEO of GoPizza.

Hextar Group is also the local franchise partner for Chinese coffee giant Luckin Coffee, strengthening its portfolio in the food and beverage sector.

GoPizza has been accelerating its growth, most notably with its expansion into more than 200 GS25 convenience store locations across South Korea last year, following a successful pilot at the GS25 The Gwan-Ak branch in Seoul.

Originally launched as a food truck in South Korea, GoPizza has gained recognition for its personal-sized pizzas, served in under five minutes. The brand now operates more than 1200 outlets across South Korea, India, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
