Hong Kong-based luxury jeweller Chow Sang Sang is entering the North American market, in partnership with global payments company Nuvei.

Genevieve Chow, chief brands officer at Chow Sang Sang, said the company has partnered with Nuvei for its localised, secure, and seamless payment system.

“As we expand internationally, particularly into North America, we need a payments partner that shares our commitment to excellence,” she said.

Through Nuvei’s platform, the jeweller will gain access to 50 markets, support for more than 150 currencies and 720 alternative payment methods, as well as direct connections to global card networks to improve approval rates and reduce payment friction.

“Nuvei’s technology, local expertise, and global reach allow us to deliver the premium experience our customers expect, both online and in-store,” Chow added.

Nuvei recently secured a Money Services Operator (MSO) license in Hong Kong, allowing it to offer local acquiring and settlement in the market.

The license supports its wider Asia-Pacific expansion across Greater China, Japan, Singapore, and Australia.

Phil Fayer, CEO of Nuvei, said luxury brands like Chow Sang Sang are meant for global growth.

“With our MSO license and expanding Apac footprint, we’re proud to support the region’s most ambitious companies with payments technology built for scale,” he added.

Chow Sang Sang operates more than 900 self-run stores across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, with a portfolio that includes Chow Sang Sang, Promessa, MintyGreen, and Emphasis.
