CJ Group’s restaurant arm, CJ Foodville Corp, has opened its first Tous les Jours bakery outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

The organisation is set to open a second location in the same city later this month, as part of its overseas expansion plans.

CJ Foodville signed a master franchise agreement with Malaysian retailer Stream Empire Holding to expand the bakery across the country. 

The agreement allows the franchisee rights to open, operate and sub-franchise those rights to third parties. 

Tous les Jours currently operates around 560 outlets in nine countries including the US, Canada, Indonesia and Vietnam, with plans to expand across the Southeast Asian market this year. 

The company also runs a bakery plant in Indonesia and is building another in Georgia, US, to open by the end of this year.
