Chinese tea chain Chagee has opened its first pet-friendly store in Southeast Asia, choosing Eastwood City in Manila, Philippines as the location for the new concept.

Designed to accommodate both pet owners and their animals, the store includes alfresco seating with weather-resistant benches, non-slip flooring, air purifiers, and safety-focused features. A rooftop cat installation and dog sculpture mark the entrance.

The store also provides free water for pets in dedicated bowls, while an enclosed tea bar with glass panels keeps drinks visible but protected from pet fur and dander.

Meanwhile, a cleaning station with wet wipes, lint rollers, and trash bags is available, along with an indoor handwash area to maintain hygiene.

Christopher Tiong, GM of Chagee Philippines, said the launch aligns with rising pet ownership and reflects the brand’s push to create more community-oriented spaces.

“Our tea has always brought people together, and we know the bonds we share with our pets are just as special,” he continued.

“With this new concept, we’re excited to bring tea culture and pet companionship together in one warm, welcoming space.”

Known for its use of real tea leaves, fresh milk, and no artificial sweeteners, Chagee differentiates itself through a luxury-leaning, minimalist brand identity.
