US quick-service restaurant chain Chick-fil-A is set to strengthen its presence in Singapore with the opening of its second restaurant at Millenia Walk on July 30.
The opening builds on Chick-fil-A’s entry into Singapore last year, the company’s first Southeast Asian market. The chain has committed to investing more than US$75 million across Asia over the next decade as it accelerates international growth.
Located in Marina Centre, the Millenia Walk restaurant will offer dine-in and takeaway services from Monday to Saturday and remain closed on Sundays, in keeping with the brand’s long-standing global operating model.
The outlet will be operated by local owner-operator Deborah Ku, a food and beverage veteran with more than 20 years of industry experience. Ku will lead a team of 60 to 80 employees, with an emphasis on training, mentorship and leadership development.
“Having grown up in a culture rooted in warm hospitality, being part of Chick-fil-A’s journey in Singapore is a dream come true – not just for me, but also for my family, who have long admired the company’s strong culture of care and commitment to the community,” said Ku.
“As we open our doors at Chick-fil-A Millenia Walk, I look forward to creating a welcoming place where Guests feel genuinely cared for and where Team Members can grow, discover their potential, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. ”
As part of the launch, the restaurant will join Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table programme, which redistributes surplus food to local charities through The Food Bank Singapore. The initiative has provided more than 42 million meals worldwide.
Chick-fil-A currently operates more than 3000 restaurants across the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, the UK and Singapore.
