South Korean fashion label Matin Kim is stepping up its international expansion, with planned store openings in China and Vietnam and a first move into West Africa.

According to local sources, the brand, operated by Hago Haus, will open its first stores in China and Vietnam in October. It also plans to enter Senegal in the second half of this year, becoming one of the first Korean fashion brands to establish a presence in the market.

Matin Kim is tailoring its retail strategy to each market. In China, the assortment will combine new-season products with established Korean bestsellers, while exclusive caps for Beijing and Shanghai are under consideration.

In Vietnam, the focus will be on logo-led products, lightweight apparel and accessories, including denim caps and twin-pocket bags.

The Senegal launch will initially operate through a select-shop model, with T-shirts, lightweight outerwear and logo accessories.

The expansion adds to Matin Kim’s growing overseas presence across markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Thailand.

In April, the fashion label also opened a flagship store in Tokyo in partnership with Musinsa, further strengthening its presence in Japan.
