Ayala Corporation has launched ACX Retail, a new subsidiary of ACX Holdings focused on bringing more international brands to the Philippine market.

The business will introduce and operate fashion, lifestyle, and specialty retail.

Mark Uy, head of corporate strategy and business development at ACX Holdings, said the platform would leverage its retail capabilities and broader ecosystem to bridge brands entering and expanding in the country.

“Our role is to help exceptional brands succeed in the Philippine market by combining their strengths with our understanding of local consumers,” he said.

It also builds on ACX Holdings’ recent partnerships with international retailers, including Australia’s Anko, Thailand-based wholesale operator Makro, Dubai supermarket chain Spinneys, and South Korean fashion brand Musinsa Standard.

ACX Retail said it would take a selective approach to future partnerships, focusing on brands that offer a ‘compelling proposition’ for Filipino consumers and the potential to establish a long-term presence in the market.

“Filipino consumers are increasingly looking for quality, relevance, and differentiated experiences,” said Rohit Kohli, chief retail officer of ACX Retail.

“Our focus is to bring the right global concepts to the Philippines and build them into sustainable businesses that create long-term value.”
