Marion Crepes opening second store in Hawaii

Japanese artisan food outlet Marion Crepes, which opened in Hawaii as part of the new Shirokiya Japan Village Walk at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, is expanding to Waikiki.

Marion Crepes, which launched in Harajuku, Tokyo, in 1976, has attracted queues in Honolulu.

With more than 80 outlets in Japan, the company has formed Marion Crepes WSP in Hawaii. It believed the initials stand for Waikiki Shopping Plaza, which is becoming a Japanese food destination similar to Shirokiya.

A 23,000 sqft (2136 sqm) high-end Japanese food destination owned by PJ Partners of Japan, Waikiki Yokocho will feature 17 individual restaurant, dessert and retail concepts including Nomu, a Japanese whiskey bar and a yakiniku restaurant.
