Philippine department store chain Robinsons Retail has appointed Stanley Co as its new president and CEO, effective January next year.

Co will replace Robina Gokongwei-Pe – the company’s president and CEO since 2018 – as she transitions to chair of the board. 

Meanwhile, Lance Gokongwei will step down as chairman and member of the board to assume the role of board adviser.

“With Stanley at the helm, drawing on his years of extensive experience and service to the company, I am confident that Robinsons Retail will continue to deliver long-term value for our customers, partners, and the communities we serve,” remarked Gokongwei-Pe.

Co has been with Robinsons Retail for 21 years. He joined the company’s DIY segment as division merchandise manager in 2003 and became its GM in 2008. 

He was appointed MD of the Food Segment in 2020 and COO of Robinsons Retail in August last year.
