India’s Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL), the holding company of Reliance Retail, has appointed former Flipkart executive Jeyandran Venugopal as its new president and CEO.

Venugopal has more than 25 years of global leadership experience in retail, e-commerce and technology, and previously served as chief product and technology officer at Flipkart.

He has also held senior roles at Myntra and Jabong, overseeing product, engineering and data functions during a period of rapid expansion and improving profitability.

Venugopal will work closely with RRVL director Isha Ambani as the company sharpens its retail strategy, expands its omnichannel capabilities and strengthens operational and technology functions across its value chain.

Ambani said Venugopal’s expertise will play a central role in the company’s next phase of growth.

“Venugopal’s deep understanding of consumer behaviour, commercial acumen, and technology-led retail transformation will be pivotal as we shape the next phase of RRVL’s growth journey,” he added.
