Huawei opens Malaysia flagship

Chinese phone maker Huawei further has strengthened its foothold in Malaysia with the opening of its third flagship there.

Huawei has opened a store on the third floor of Suria KLCC shopping mall. Besides selling Huawei products, the store provides consumers with a first-hand brand experience of the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer.

The flagship follows its others at Plaza Low Yat and Mid Valley Mega Mall.

Gary Xu, country director for Huawei consumer business group in Malaysia, says: “At Huawei, we strongly believe that affordability and brand experience should not be mutually exclusive. Our flagship stores personify this belief. We are very excited to be one of the first Chinese high-tech companies to open a store in KLCC, a renowned landmark in Malaysia.”

Huawei also plans to open 1000 retail stores in Malaysia this year, adding to its existing 271 there.
