Online furniture retailer boosts offer

US-based Nova LifeStyle has secured an agreement with over 100 furniture brands to make their products available on its e-commerce website in China.

Nova LifeStyle’s e-commerce platform was launched in April 2014 to capitalise on the growing middle class and the rapidly increasing online demand for furniture and homewares in China.

The retailer will also launch a new mobile device application in the fourth quarter to provide China-based consumers and China-based franchisees with a new digital and user-friendly way to complete transactions.

“We believe that, once completed, both our e-commerce platform and mobile app will drive incremental sales for us in China, increasing our penetration and share of that market, one of our key growth initiatives,” said Tawny Lam, president of Nova LifeStyle.
