Japanese coffee chain % Arabica has opened its second location in Vietnam, which includes the brand’s first roastery in the nation.

The store, located in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, boasts 255sqm and combines traditional and modern design elements.

Designed by the award-winning Vietnamese architecture firm NKAA Studio, the % Arabica Ho Chi Minh City Roastery is located in front of the landmark Saigon Central Post Office and adjacent to the historic Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, the city’s most famous tourist sites.

% Arabica’s first roastery in Vietnam features a 22-kilogram Probat roasting equipment and a 1-kilo Tornado King roasting machine.

Last year, % Arabica opened its first store in Vietnam, within Ho Chi Minh City’s iconic ‘Cafe Apartments’ building on the bustling Nguyen Hue walking street.

Both stores are under a partnership with The Kho Group, a Hong Kong-based investment firm.

The Vietnam store is the Japanese company’s 189th globally.
