Luxe outlet shopping village for China

Value Retail, a company which specialises in developing and operating of luxury outlet shopping villages, is set to open a shopping centre in China.

The company will occupy 600,000 sqft in Suzhou, located in the province of Jiangsu, 80km outside Shanghai.

Value Retail has owned nine outlet centres in Europe’s most important gateway cities namely Milan, London, Dublin, Munich, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris and Brussels/Antwerp/ Cologne/Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.

“We will mimic what we do in Europe — focusing on high-end luxury and fashion brands. The villages will be based in tier-one cities, in the suburbs of Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong, ” said Scott  Malkin, founder and chairman of Value Retail.

High-end and designer brands such as Prada, Coach, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Belstaff, Staff International, Sergio Rossi, Ugg, Missoni, Yves Saint Laurent, Pink, Burberry, Tod’s, Roberto Cavalli and Armani are expected to operate in the new Value Retail’s property in China.
