CapitaMalls Asia has unveiled a rewards program within 12 of its 20 malls in Singapore.

Shoppers who sign up to the CapitaStar program can earn ‘Star$’ ‘ for purchases at more than 1800 retailers in 12 of CapitaMalls’ shopping centres in the city state.

They can then redeem the Star$ for CapitaVouchers which can be spent at the 12 malls.

The Star$ rewards are issued on top of the other rewards that shoppers currently earn, such as those from their credit/debit card issuer or the retailer, giving CapitaStar members additional chances to earn rewards for shopping at CapitaMalls.

The program is cardless – members need enter only their identification number and mobile phone number to access their account and scan their receipts at CapitaStar kiosks to earn Star$. iPhone and iPad users can download the CapitaStar app and upload a picture of their receipts.

Shoppers can earn Star$ with a minimum spend of S$20. Every dollar spent at participating malls and stores earns five Star$ (except at food courts and supermarkets where every dollar spent earns one Star$). A shopper may earn up to a maximum of 1000 Star$ per day.

Redemptions for CapitaVouchers start from 5000 Star$ for a S$5 CapitaVoucher.

The 12 participating CapitaMalls are: Bugis Junction, Bukit Panjang Plaza, Clarke Quay, Funan DigitaLife Mall, IMM Building, Junction 8, Lot One, Plaza Singapura, Raffles City Singapore, Rivervale Mall, Sembawang Shopping Centre and Tampines Mall.

Lim Beng Chee, CEO of CapitaMalls Asia, said the program is CapitaMalls’ way of thanking and rewarding shoppers for choosing its centres.
