F J Benjamin management shake up

Singapore-based F J Benjamin Holdings has promoted Douglas Benjamin as group CEO and Ian Lim as CEO for Singapore.

In his new role, Benjamin will work on group responsibilities as well as on the growth of the group’s in-house brand, Raoul, which expanded into Europe and the US more than a year ago.

Benjamin has been with the group for 23 years and is respected both in Singapore and in the fashion capitals of London and New York for his experience and expertise. He became a director of the group in 2000 and has been heading the Singapore operations since 2006. He is the co-creative designer of Raoul and overseeing its international expansion.

Replacing Benjamin as the CEO of F J Benjamin Singapore, a major subsidiary of the group, Lim will be responsible for all operating businesses in Singapore. He is currently the divisional CEO in Singapore where he has been responsible for the overall operations of the fashion lifestyle brands in Singapore.

Lim joined the group as GM for Gap and Banana Republic in late 2009.

Both appointments will take effect on September 1.

“I am confident that Douglas and Ian will continue to bring much passion and professionalism to their new roles,” said Nash Benjamin, current group CEO.

F J Benjamin Holdings develops retail and distribution networks for international luxury and lifestyle labels including Banana Republic, Catherine Deane, Celine, Gap, Givenchy, Goyard, Guess, La Senza, Raoul and Sheridan across Asia.
