Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has opened a flagship boutique at Parkview Green mall in Beijing.

The 300 sqm bi-level boutique features a glass cube facade. The interior is fitted with dark woods and exquisite materials, creating an elegant atmosphere for customers to explore the brand’s watch collections.

The main highlight of the boutique is the Portuguese Siderale Scafusia – a watch which features a patented constant-force tourbillon together with many other complications and individually calculated astronomical displays.

To mark the Beijing opening, IWC created a Portuguese Siderale Scafusia with a celestial chart on the case back showing the Forbidden City’s horizon.

The IWC boutique in Beijing is the second flagship boutique in Asia after its first in Hong Kong opened three years ago.

“Our new flagship boutique, now the second in Asia, takes IWC’s watchmaking heritage to a new level,” said IWC CEO Georges Kern.

“The first IWC flagship boutique in mainland China is not only important for the region, but also adds a new landmark to the company’s history,” added Kern.

Just a month ago, the Swiss watch manufacturer also opened a new boutique in Hong Kong at the Pacific Place mall.
