Rip Curl opens Jakarta store

Australian sportswear brand Rip Curl has opened a new flagship store in Jakarta.

The store comprises a retail space of 114 sqm at Lotte Shopping Avenue and carries men’s and women’s apparel, shoes, bags and technical surfing accessories.

“I’m stoked to have a second Rip Curl store in Jakarta situated at the heart of business and shopping in Indonesia in cooperation with our partner PT Mataya Mitra Gaya,” said Rip Curl SE Asia retail manager Onnie Khristanto.

Rip Curl began business in 1969 producing surfboards. A year later, it started production of wetsuits, with emphasis on transforming diving technology into a wetsuit suitable for surfing. Now it has become one of the largest boardwear brands in Australia, Europe and South America and is also active in North America and South Africa.
