Outdoor sports supplies brand Mammut is pursuing continuous Chinese expansion with a new store in Chengdu.

The store is also the brand’s first in southwestern China and adds to its existing stores in Beijing, Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Xi’an.

Elsewhere in the world, Mammut has subsidiaries in Norway, Germany, Korea, Japan, UK and the US and has sales networks in more than 40 countries.

Today, the Mammut generates 70 per cent of its turnover abroad. Its total revenue has increased to over 233 million Swiss francs. Around 50 per cent of sales are attributable to clothing, however, its fastest growing segment is climbing ropes, a category for which Mammut is amongst the best-known suppliers in the market.

Mammut stores present the entire product range, from weather protective jackets to backpacks, mountain boots and climbing ropes.
