One Way Sport forms China JV

Finnish outdoor sports goods chain One Way Sport is to enter China.

The brand has forged a joint venture with 361 Degrees to roll out stores in Greater China.

Seventy per cent of the JV will be held by 361 Degrees subsidiary 361 Investment Company and the remaining 30 per cent by One Way Sport.

The JV, One Way International Enterprise Limited, will establish a subsidiary, Zhonglan Sports Goods, in Xiamen, Fujian Province, to design, produce, distribute and market One Way products in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

“The partnership between One Way Sport and 361 Degrees combines for the first time the strength and experience of two successful brands in sales and marketing. Now in the partnership, One Way Sport and 361 Degrees will combine the marketing, creativity and design expertise of One Way Sport with the solid foundation of 361 Degrees in China to develop One Way to one of the most modern and successful brands in outdoor and winter sports in China,” said One Way Sports president and CEO Andreas Bennert.

One Way Sport designs and markets technical apparel, premium-quality ski gear and carbon poles, footwear and accessories. It is the owner of international outdoor brands “One Way” and “Ow”.
