Robinsons takes over Shiseido, Benefit chains

Filipino retailer Robinsons Retail Holdings is to operate Shiseido and Benefit stores in the Philippines.

The company says its subsidiary, Robinsons Specialty Stores, has acquired Beauty Skinnovations Retail, which operates eight Shiseido and two Benefit stores in the country.

Shiseido is a Japanese cosmetics company, Benefit an American beauty brand.

“The acquisition includes the right to sell Shiseido and Benefit cosmetics products under a distribution agreement with Luxasia Inc, a leading distributor of world-renowned fragrance and cosmetics brands in the Philippines, and L Beauty Asia Inc, distributor of prestigious LVMH beauty brands in the Philippines,” the company said in a statement.

Robinsons Retail Holdings operates brands including Ministop, South Star Drug, Handyman Do it Best, True Value, Howards Storage World, Saizen and Robinsons Appliances. It has more than 1000 stores across the Philippines.
