Thai denim maker eyes new markets

Thai jeans producer Mc Group is plotting an expansion abroad and domestically.

The company, the maker of Mc Jeans, is to set up its first sales presence in Vietnam at Robinson Department Store in Hanoi. It also plans to open a shop at Hong Kong International Airport.

Beyond Thailand, Mc Jeans are currently available in Laos and Myanmar.

The company also plans to expand its domestic outlet count to 700 by adding 100 new points of sale and shops this year.

Aside from shops, Mc Group also sells jeans through mobile vans. It says it will introduce the platform in Laos and Vietnam in the near future.

“The mobile van can reach more potential customers,” said CEO Sunee Seripanu.
