Lee Cooper to open Philippine flagship

British denim brand Lee Cooper plans to open standalone stores in the Philippines to offer its full range of products.

Lee Cooper’s local partner Red Diamond Global Trends plans to open two flagship stores this year, one of them at an as yet unidentified Ayala Mall.

The denim brand is currently sold through department stores such as Robinsons, SM and Gaisano.

“There is a demand for us to showcase the whole brand, so we need that standalone shop. At a department store, you can only sell in the men’s section or ladies section, but if you do have your own store, you can sell the full line including accessories, shoes and bags,” said brand manager Bernie Reyes III.

Lee Cooper was founded by Morris Cooper in 1908 in London and is said to be the first jeans company in Europe.
