French furniture brand opens in Mumbai

French luxury furniture brand Roche Bobois has opened a flagship store in Mumbai, India.

The 5000 sqft store features the brand’s two collections – Contemporary and Classic – which include collaborations with Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel, Missoni and Ungaro.

“We see India as a market with growth potential and are delighted to launch our flagship store offering customers a beautifully designed space in which to browse our range of products and look for inspiration to create their desired spaces,” said international director Martin Gleize.

Roche Bobois plans to expand its footprint across India with a target to have five stores in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Ahmedabad in five years.

Roche Bobois has been producing fine furniture for more than 50 years, offering exclusive “haute couture” designs. With a turnover of more €400 millions in 2013, Roche Bobois is now present in almost 50 countries with a network of 250 exclusive stores.
