Giordano ramps up rollouts

Hong Kong-based fashion retailer Giordano plans to open 40 new stores in markets including Central and Southern Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East by 2015.

It also plans to expand its online reach to more GCC countries within the next six months.

“We are expanding our reach through various digital and social media channels. We already launched e-commerce in the UAE, which is a growing part of our total sales, and will expand our e-commerce site across the GCC this year,” said Ishwar Chugani, MD of Giordano Middle East and executive director of Giordano International.

Giordano is also looking for opportunities to expand to new markets in Indo China, Central Asia, Latin America and Africa.

“Giordano is relentless in pursuing new markets as we continuously innovate and evolve our products and image to best fit the markets,” says Chugani.

The retailer has more than 2800 stores globally.
