Online travel startup Klook chooses Hong Kong HQ

Online travel retailer Klook has opened its global headquarters in Hong Kong, with the aim of capitalising on the city’s international tourist hub status to expand its business globally.
Backed by tech veteran, senior executive VP of internet services division and CEO of Tencent eCommerce Holdings, Xiaoguang Wu, Klook is an online travel platform set up in Hong Kong in 2014. The company provides a one-stop desktop and mobile application through which travel customers can make bookings at pre-departure or at the very last minute on a range of fun things to do and admission to tourist attractions at discount prices.
Co-founder of Klook Travel Technology Limited, Eric Gnock Fah, said: “Hong Kong is one of the most visited destinations with a large number of inbound visitors every year. The city presents an ideal and unique platform for us to reach out to a diverse cluster of travellers and expand our business globally.”

Co-founder Ethan Lin added: “We are also aware of the rising trend of independent travellers in and out of Hong Kong, which presents another attractive opportunity for us. We’ll also use the city to promote our travel platform to this growing cluster of travellers.”
Klook is a one-stop shop for travellers to explore and book a curated selection of fun things to do from a skip-the-queue Hong Kong Disneyland ticket to underwater shipwreck diving adventures in Bali. It aims to revolutionise the lengthy, tedious process of itinerary planning into an efficient, hassle-free experience while offering exclusive deals with various discounts and ensuring all travel picks are carefully verified.
Apart from Hong Kong, Klook already operates in 21 destinations in Asia and has two regional offices in Shenzhen and Taipei.
