Yuen Long shops on the block

International real estate consultancy Savills has been appointed as lead agent for the sale of Yuen Long shops located at 15-23 Mau Tan St. The agency will also work closely with other agents on this project.
The property has a gross area of 7490 sqft (696 sqm) and is currently home to four tenants: Fairwood, DHC Food Mart, Yamazaki Bakery and Tai Cheong Bakery.
The main entry is on Mau Tan St with the side door facing Hung Min Court.
Sharon Fong, senior director of Savills Hong Kong said the property is located in the core business district in Yuen Long.
“Being one of the key areas for property developments, Yuen Long is accommodating new projects by renowned developers, such as the one by Sun Hung Kai (SKH) Properties. SKH invested over HK$10 billion in the redevelopment of Yuen Long and an increasing number of people with higher spending power have moved in the area,” she said.
She noted that 158 Castle Peak recently leased to a household supplies outlet at HK$320,000 per month, approximately HK$400 per sq ft.
“The current tenant Bonjour is going to move to its new location in the neighbourhood. It is a clear indication that Yuen Long is getting a lot of attention from both buyers and investors.”
