Taste of Hong Kong has opened, the first of the Taste festival franchise in Asia.
Simon Wilson, event director, IMG Culinary Asia, said the Festival – would host Hong Kong gourmands on the Central Harbourfront site until Sunday.
“Hongkongers in the mood to celebrate the city’s finest dining establishments should come on down and join us for an indulgent and unique food experience at Taste of Hong Kong”.
Hosted on the Central Harbourfront until 13 March, Taste of Hong Kong, sponsored by Standard and Chartered bank, offers foodies the opportunity to create their ultimate dining experience sampling signature, icon and unique to festival tasting plates from the world class chefs behind Aberdeen Street Social, Amber, Arcane, Bibo, Café Gray Deluxe, Chino, Duddell’s, Serge et Le Phoque, The Ocean, Tin Lung Heen, Tosca, Yardbird and Ronin, and visiting UK restaurant Duck & Waffle.
Top chefs will create dishes in live demonstrations at the Bosch Taste Theatre and Marriott Kitchen, get hands on with interactive masterclasses at Sunday’s Grocery ‘Sake Bar’, Duddell’s Salon, Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar and Wynns Coonawarra Estate “Make Your Own Blend” wine experience, and sample exceptional ingredients from over 50 boutique producers.
Taste Festivals hosted 22 restaurant festivals around the world in 2015.
