Amazon China finds China distributor for Kindle

Supply-chain services platform VST Holdings has signed with Amazon China to be the Chinese distribution partner for its e-reader Kindle.
As well as cloud computing, VST and Amazon have agreed on another co-operation for intelligent terminals technology in the China market.
Launched in 2007, Kindle has become a substitute for print books internationally with its e-ink technology and portability. Meanwhile, the Chinese publishing market has been growing and transforming from being quantity-oriented to quality-oriented. China’s digital publishing industry has also grown, with a revenue breakthrough of RMB350 billion (US$53.2 billion) last year.
“Given Kindle’s clear market positioning, VST will allocate its extensive channel resources and actively expand the Chinese market together with Amazon, providing consumers with innovative reading experiences,” says VST CEO/board chairman Li Jialin.

It embraces product distribution, supply-chain services, enterprise-level systems and IT value-added services, cloud computing, mobile internet, system equipment, software, information security, computers, computer accessories and peripherals. It has 81 offices in nine countries – China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and the Philippines.
