ShopBack Singapore introduces mobile app

Nearly two years after launching, ShopBack Singapore has introduced a mobile app.

This means more convenience for consumers, who will be able to shop at any time, anywhere from computers and tablets to smartphones (both Android and Apple iOS).

Expanding its move beyond desktop and mobile-optimised sites, ShopBack aims to take its “shop-and-save” concept beyond Singapore (it is presently also in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines).

“Today, we help consumers save on their shopping with up to 30 per cent Cashback,” says country head of ShopBack Singapore, Josephine Chow. “An average shopper can save about $500 a year with just an extra click on desktop. ”

ShopBack’s new app offers access offers to more than 500 online stores like Asos, Groupon and Lazada.

Upsized Cashback: Stores offering better Cashback deals, indicated by a money-bag icon on the top left corner of the store front.

Coupon codes: Coupon codes that can copied and applied before checkout.

Popular stores: Which stores are being frequented by Singapore users.

Staff picks: Staff recommendations of stores and deals.

Highest Cashback: Shops offering the highest amount of Cashback.

My total Cashback: A wallet that shows the amount of savings earned.

Notification settings: Updating users with trending deals, Cashback earned and payment alerts.
To encourage user adoption, ShopBack Singapore is offering a $5 cash bonus for a short time that can be unlocked with a minimum purchase of $25.

With more than 250,000 shoppers enlisted, the startup says it is starting to attract more online retailers. ShopBack Singapore refreshes its store offerings with up to three new partners a week.

“Our retail partners pay us on a performance-driven commission model. If we don’t channel sales to them, they’re not required to pay us,” says ShopBack co-founder Henry Chan. “This attractive business proposition allows us to bring actual measurable value to our retail partners in the online space. ”

Such online stores as Honestbee and Naiise are the latest additions to ShopBack Singapore, which was developed in Singapore.
