Japanese variety store chain 3Coins has made its Taiwan debut with the opening of its first store in Taipei.
Located inside Eslite Spectrum Wuchang in Ximending district, the 370sqm store offers popular Japanese lifestyle products alongside Taiwan-exclusive items. The company has also launched its e-commerce site in the market, as well as special promotions to mark the opening.
The expansion marks another important step in the brand’s Asian growth strategy, following its expansion into Hong Kong last year.
Hong Kong-based Yaichi Group has been the exclusive distribution partner and franchisee that brought 3Coins out of Japan.
The brand’s entry into Taiwan was advanced through a partnership between Yaichi and FullSynergy New Retail, a company under the Taiwan Mobile Group.
By combining local operations, digital marketing, membership services, and omnichannel integration, the partnership aims to deepen customer engagement and build a scalable foundation for long-term growth in the market.
“Through the collaboration of Japanese brands, local retail expertise and digital commerce capabilities, we look forward to bringing more Japanese lifestyle inspiration and brands to Taiwan,” Yaichai said.
Founded in 1994 and owned by PAL Group, 3Coins sells a wide range of products, from kitchenware and storage items to convenient accessories. Its sales rose 14 per cent to approximately 80.94 billion yen (US$523 million) in the year ended February.
