Moonbasa helping ITA push US brands

China-based eCommerce fashion company Moonbasa has partnered with the International Trade Administration (ITA) to support a digital platform for US brands seeking to sell to the Chinese market.
American companies will be able to open a web store on Moonbasa’s eCommerce platform, and can also participate in a three-day online-to-offline (O2O) experience at Moonbasa’s flagship digital store in Shanghai.
“China is a difficult market to penetrate, especially for small- and medium-size businesses,” says ITA’s Kim-Bang Nguyen, director for export promotion and strategic business alliances for the Office of Textiles and Apparel (Otexa). “We believe Moonbasa is an effective way for these businesses to create a new channel of distribution in China.”
Moonbasa, which offers an all-inclusive turnkey service, launched its US Brand Mall last year supporting more than 25 small- to medium-sized US brands including Band of Gypsies, Halo, Janet Chung, Ocean Current, and Taylor and Sage.
Aiming to open 15 more brand stores this year, Moonbasa will be exhibiting at the WWDMagic trade show in Las Vegas this month.
