HK gains first athleisure eco boutique

Hong Kong’s first dedicated athleisure eco fashion boutique has opened in premises once occupied by an antiques dealer.
Caelum Greene on Hollywood Rd features more than 50 brands, some exclusive or new to the region, including Alo, Kooples Sport and Olympia from the US, and eco-friendly label Daquini, which uses Italian and French fabrics.
Some items are performance-based, while others, such as Koreal and Monreal London have a fashion aesthetic.

Swimwear also features alongside intimates, including Skin loungewear made from 100 per cent organic cotton.
The beauty selection includes hard-to-find brands, many of which are chemical-free and vegan, such as EIR NYC, Ella Milla non-toxic nail polish, Green & Spring from Ireland and local product Pure Earth.
Caelum Greene is also the first official Etsy wholesaler in Hong Kong, offering handcrafted stationery and candles.
Owned by fashion retailer Charlotte Tsuei, the 1700 sqft (158 sqm) store has white brick walls covered in non-toxic paint and features an indoor “greenhouse” structure for eco-friendly labels, potted plants, an indoor vertical garden and outdoor zen garden.
The paper bags and store cards are printed on recycled paper, and for every shopper taking their own bag, HK$5 will be donated to environmental NGO Redress. Even the mannequins, sourced from the US, are made from a plant-based material.
