Compass One reopens after year-long upgrade

Sengkang’s Compass One mall has officially re-opened after a year-long upgrade.

Previously Compass Point, the centre includes 50 new retailers, including IT store Challenger, optical shop Owndays and eateries Paradise Hotpot and Royal London Duck.

There is also a new wet and dry children’s playground.

Long-time tenants like Cold Storage, Kiddy Palace and Royal Sporting House have returned.

Mall owner M&G Real Estate Asia chief executive Ng Chiang Ling says the “substantial investment” made to refurbish and upgrade the mall shows the group’s long-term confidence in Sengkang.

The mall serves more than 260,000 people, mainly from Hougang, Punggol and Sengkang. Ng says new features like the playground, a nursing room and more eateries were introduced to cater to the needs of the community, which includes young families.
