Bugis Point being sold by public tender

Real-estate company CBRE Singapore has launched a public-tender sale of Bugis Point, a six-storey commercial building in the heart of Bugis.

At 530 North Bridge Road, the building is on a 999-year tenure site with a land area of about 2776 sqft (257 sqm). The total floor area is about 16,975 sqft and the site is zoned for full commercial use.

The property’s sole tenant runs a karaoke lounge that occupies the entire building and an ancillary F&B space on the ground floor.

Bugis Point is directly opposite Bugis Junction and Bugis MRT Interchange Station. It is also close to the landmark integrated development Duo, which will comprise apartments, commercial and office space as well as a hotel, set to be completed next year.

As well as high visibility, Bugis Point has about 18m of frontage along North Bridge Road.
CBRE investment properties director Sammi Lim says the sale is an opportunity to acquire an income-producing single asset of 999-year tenure in the CBD that comes with six strata titles.
As it involves a commercial property, the sale is open to both local and foreigner buyers without extra buyers’ or vendors’ stamp duty.

Tenders close on November 9.
