Medieval Weapon Cafe: snack attack central

Hong Kong’s Medieval Weapon Cafe, with its title sharply to the point, is a place that really sets out to “en-armour” its patrons.

Tucked away between hardware and general stores in Kowloon, the themed cafe specialises in medieval weapons and armour.

As well as dealing with snack attacks, the cafe is a call to arms with wall-to-wall weaponry, and visitors can choose a replica weapon and deck themselves in armour for a photo op.

There are even special mugs for tea, coffee or fruit drinks, including a knight’s helmet or ninja mask, and visitors can chill amid all the steel by playing any of the board games on offer.

Road warriors can also work on their laptops using the cafe’s Wi-Fi.

Medieval Weapon Cafe can also cater for groups of up to nine people, offering a range of entrees, snacks and drinks. The staff will even take a souvenir photo of your group in costume.

Just hope you don’t have to fight for a seat…
