Two-pronged launch for GU Hong Kong

Japanese casual fashion brand GU plans to launch in Hong Kong early next year with two stores.
The GU Hong Kong stores will be at Miramar Shopping Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, covering about 1000 sqm, and Windsor House shopping mall in Causeway Bay, covering about 870 sqm.
“The launch of our business in Hong Kong is a huge step forward for GU’s global expansion,” says CEO Osamu Yunoki, attributing the success of the 10-year-old brand to the marketing expertise of its parent, the Fast Retailing Group.
Fast Retailing’s mainstay brand Uniqlo launched in Hong Kong in 2005 and now has 25 stores there and in Macau. GU plans to expand further in Hong Kong over the longer term.
