Luk Fook Holdings (International) has opened its second retail shop in New York City.
Following its first establishment in Manhattan, this new Luk Fook New York store is on the first floor of New World Mall in Flushing.
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiating guests included state senator Toby Ann Stavisky, Congresswoman Grace Meng and Luk Fook co-founder Pauline Yeung.
Chairman/CEO Wong Wai Sheung told guests that the group aims to further penetrate into Chinese communities internationally. The group currently has more than 1460 shops in eight countries and regions. It tapped into the North American market in 2003, opening shops in Canada and the US.
New World Mall is one of the largest indoor Asian malls in the US northeast with more than 100 shops offering jewellery, clothing, cosmetics, electronics and world cuisine.
