Labmade Singapore ice creamery opens

Hong Kong Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Laboratory has opened its first Labmade Singapore outlet in Westgate Mall.

Each ice cream is made to order using fresh ingredients without additives, colourings or preservatives.

It takes 60 seconds to make each ice cream, using liquid nitrogen at minus 196deg for rapid freezing. This results in smaller ice crystals, making the ice cream smooth and creamy.

Labmade flavours include Crunchy Sea Salt and Caramel Sauce, Custard Bun, Hong Kong French Toast, and Hong Kong Beancurd Dessert.

A first in Asia, Labmade has received multiple awards, including the Hong Kong Best Dessert Shop Awards in 2014 and 2015.

The ice creams are priced at S$6.90 (US$4.85) each.
