VivoCity mall is putting the spotlight on local creatives in a special Great Singapore Sale art collaboration.
Shoppers will be able not only to admire artworks, but also have the chance to engage with the artists, says Mapletree Commercial Property Management head of retail Joanna Lee.
Young creative groups such as the Band of Doodlers will be seen in action at the mall.
“This event gives us a great opportunity to share our love for the arts in a fun and interactive way,” says Band of Doodlers founder Mas Shafreen.
On different dates next month, the Band of Doodlers will customise tote bags for customers with a minimum spend.
Young artists can try their hand at designing footwear in the Vans Custom Culture Competition on June 3 and 4, with the grand winner having their design sold at Vans stores across Asia.
From June 1 to 18, an augmented-reality station will feature Wonder Woman, with photo opportunities next to a life-sized statue of the DC Comics superhero. Movie memorabilia will be available, and for a minimum spend shoppers can receive an exclusive Wonder Woman shield, sword or tiara keychain.
From May 26 until June 26, shoppers can test their skills in bi-weekly Facebook contests with six winners receiving prizes from Osim and The Faceshop.
For a whole month from May 26, there will be a range of special deals and discounts at such stores as DKNY, Morganfield’s and Puma.
