Fornarina Hong Kong has opened a showroom in Silvercord on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.
It will be the Italian fashion group’s hub for Asia Pacific, and is part of Fornarina worldwide relaunch following new ownership.
Bright Fame Holdings of Hong Kong acquired the brand in November. Bright Fame is owned by the People Group, a global design, manufacturing and sourcing company for footwear, handbags and accessories.
“We are focussed not only on maintaining and growing in Europe, but more importantly to expand our reach in Asia Pacific, where the brand is still in its early stages of awareness,” says People Group president Tina Liu.
Fornarina is focussed on denim and footwear, with apparel to complement the overall brand spirit, says Liu. Designed in Italy, the brand has young, emerging consumers as its target.
New distribution agreements are being considered in Asia, says MD Mauro Gabrielli, with 65 per cent of the brand’s turnover coming from outside Italy.
