Hong Kong, Cambodia and Singapore are taking part in the first-ever DFS Group Whiskey Festival.
Whiskies of the world are being introduced at the luxury travel retailer’s event, which launches at DFS, Changi Airport in Singapore and T Galleria by DFS Angkor in Cambodia on May 27, running until June 30.
It opens at DFS, Hong Kong International Airport on June 1, running until the end of the month.
Featured in the festival will be more than 300 whiskies, including rare limited-edition bottles exclusive to DFS.
“From collectors to those trying whiskey for the first time, the festival is designed for discovery,” says DFS Group senior VP Brooke Supernaw.
There will be masterclasses from brand ambassadors at The Whiskey House, expert advice and complimentary tastings. To help travellers discover their personal whiskey style, the festival introduces the DFS Whiskey Flavour Profile tool, which divides complex flavours into four profiles: floral and delicate, fruity and elegant, smoky and Intense, and rich and rounded.
Up to 100 whiskies will be available for tasting in store, depending on location. Highlighted brands include Bowmore, Johnnie Walker, Suntory and Woodford.
As well as Asia, the festival will be held in North America and the Middle East.
