Fendi Singapore has re-opened its refurbished flagship store in Ngee Ann City with a new concept inspired by the maison’s Roman roots.

In an atmosphere it describes as refined and grandiose, the store offers Fendi’s full range of women’s ready-to-wear, furs, handbags, shoes and accessories, as well as men’s leather goods and accessories.

In a first for the brand in Singapore, the Takashimaya Shopping Center store features a private VIP room.

To celebrate the relaunch, Fendi has created a limited-edition Mini Peekaboo bag in velvet. It features a special tapestry weaving technique as well as the signature Fendi whipstitch detailing. The tapestry technique is a form of embroidery comprising thousands of stitches and threads manually cut by the artisans, followed by ironing the design to enhance the colours and thicken the threads. There are only be five of the special bags, retailing at S$11,010 (US$7969).

Fendi will also be launching three other velvet Peekaboo bags at Ngee Ann City, limited to three to five pieces each and retailing at $10,100 to $13,780. It will be the first store in Southeast Asia to launch the bags.
