Following New York and Singapore, the Employees Only Bar & Restaurant Hong Kong opens today in Central.
Employees Only offers a mix of atmosphere, cocktails and food, reports ButterBoom. It will be one of the few bars in Hong Kong where all the bartenders free-pour complex cocktails at speed, showcasing the brand’s signature fast and lively style of service.
As well as Hong Kong-inspired cocktails, the menu includes the signature EO Gimlet (gin with a housemade lime cordial with agave and kaffir lime leaves), Ready Fire Aim (shaken mezcal cocktail with lime juice, honey, pineapple and hellfire bitters) and Daily Daisy (a frozen cocktail made with fresh market ingredients).
Led by chef James Black, the restaurant offers bistro fare with Eastern European influences. The dinner menu (available until midnight) features Hand-cut Steak Tartare with Crostini & Mixed Greens Salad, Bone Marrow Poppers with Bordelaise and Pastry Shell, Skate Paprika, and Butterscotch and Mascarpone Cheesecake. There are also daily specials, plus a late-night menu from midnight to 3am with specialties like Truffled Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Balkan Burger.
Employees Only will have a similar ambience to the original in New York with its Art Deco theme, curving bar, semi-private oval dining room and the Lovers’ Corner for diners who want more intimacy and privacy.
