The second edition of the annual Singapore Golden Week (SGW) returns on Friday with golden privileges, golden rewards and golden experiences for locals and tourists.
Organised by the Singapore Retailers Association with UnionPay as the official payment card, SGW 2017 runs until October 15.
Golden privileges are available at more than 300 outlets covering retail, F&B, beauty and wellness, hotels and attractions.
UnionPay cardholders are offered extra privileges at such merchants such as Calvin Klein, Ecco, Kent & Curwen, Kipling, Outlet by Club 21, Pedro, Porter International and Thomas Sabo.
Privileges and e-coupons are available through the GoSpree mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. As well as offering shoppers more savings, the app provides retailers with a digital platform to reach more consumers.
All e-coupons redeemed automatically enter the buyers into a daily Golden Rewards draw, with 10 lucky winners of a $50 shopping e-coupon. For UnionPay-exclusive e-coupons, the daily prize is a $100 shopping e-coupon.
Golden experiences come in the form of complimentary taxi rides in special “golden taxis” in specific locations.
“SGW is yet another ideal platform for retailers to come onboard to cash in on the prevalence of smartphones and mobile devices,” says Singapore Retailers Association president R Dhinakaran.
