Qoo10 Singapore launches showcase at Plaza Singapura

Online marketplace Qoo10 Singapore today launches its Qoo10 10.10 Shopping Evolution at Plaza Singapura, running for six days.

The event aims to showcase Qoo10’s merchant base and such features as its Live10 app, MameGo! game and its new integrated cashless payment system, Qpay.

More than 20 Qoo10 merchants will have booths at the event, featuring tech gadgets including smartphones, computers, gaming consoles and home electronics. The brands include Parisil and Spigen, and SMEs such as MiniHelpersSG and Passion Gadgets.

Qoo10 says its strategy in Singapore’s slumping retail sector is to synergise offline and online retailers together rather than cannibalise one other.

Country manager HyunWook Cho says Qoo10 serves as a bridge connecting online and offline retailing. It offers seamless payments and an advertising platform at the same time, while integrating discounts and loyalty rewards for buyers.

Throughout the event there will be giveaways including Qoo10 gift cards, smartphones, electric scooters, gaming consoles, laptops and gadgets from such brands as Asus, GoPro, Lenovo, Oppo and Phillips.

Launched in June 2010, Qoo10 Singapore has 2.5 million registered users. Based in Singapore, Qoo10 is a JV between founder Ku Young Bae and eBay, and has expanded to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
